Accessibility

Last updated: April 2026

emilyreview aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology to browse the web.

Our commitment

We design and build the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. While not every page may meet every success criterion at every moment, we treat accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize them accordingly.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy and landmarks.
  • Keyboard-navigable controls — every interactive element is reachable with Tab.
  • Visible focus styles on all buttons, links, and form inputs.
  • Sufficient color contrast for body text and interactive elements.
  • Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately.
  • ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and form controls without visible labels.

Reporting issues

If something on emilyreview is hard to use with your assistive technology, please tell us. Email accessibility@emilyreview.com with the page URL, your device and assistive-technology setup, and what you were trying to do. We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days and fix critical issues within 14 days.

Limitations

Some embedded third-party content (merchant logos, affiliate widgets) may not meet our accessibility standards. We work with partners to improve these where possible.
