The Handy 2 Review: Standard vs Pro, and Which One Is Worth the Money

This is an adult product guide for readers aged 18 and over. It is based on the manufacturer's published specifications and retailer listings at the time of writing, not on hands-on testing. Prices change, so check the current price on the official Handy store before you buy.

The Handy is a motorised stroker made by the Norwegian company Sweet Tech AS. The second generation comes in two versions that look nearly identical, which is exactly why people get stuck choosing. The short version: the Pro costs about $200 more, and almost all of that money goes on battery life and top speed.

What both versions share

The upgrade from the first Handy is the same on both models:

  • Longer stroke. Up to 125 mm, about 15 mm more than the original. Independent reviewers single this out as the change you actually notice.
  • Built-in battery. The first Handy needed a cable. Both new versions run cordless.
  • Quieter running than the first generation.
  • Redesigned grip. A quick-release ring, a hook-and-loop fastener and the third-generation TrueGrip.
  • Interactive mode. Both connect to the Handy app and can sync with compatible videos and VR content. That syncing is the main reason people pick this device over a simpler toy.

Where they differ

The Handy 2 Standard vs Pro comparison: price, battery, speed and stroke length

  • Price. Standard is listed at about $299; Pro at about $499.
  • Battery. Standard has a 2,000 mAh battery; Pro has 3,200 mAh, rated for up to five hours of continuous use.
  • Speed. Standard runs 32–400 mm/s. Pro runs 32–450 mm/s and adds an overclock mode that pushes it higher still.

Which one to buy

Buy the Standard if this is your first motorised stroker, if you use it in shorter sessions, or if you are happy to keep it near a charger. The stroke length, grip and app features are the same as the Pro, and $299 is already a significant spend for a category you may not end up loving.

Buy the Pro only if you already know you will use long interactive or VR sessions, where a flat battery halfway through is the real frustration. The extra speed matters to a smaller group of users; the battery is what most Pro buyers are actually paying for.

If you own the first Handy and it still works, the honest question is whether cordless use and 15 mm of extra stroke are worth $299 to you. For many owners of the original, it is a nice-to-have rather than a must.

Things to check before ordering

  • Buy from the official store or an authorised seller. Popular adult devices attract copies. Warranty and app access depend on buying a genuine unit.
  • Check the sleeve. The device works with compatible sleeves; check what is included in the box you are buying and what replacements cost.
  • Check shipping to your country. Prices and stock differ between the US store and other regions, and discreet packaging policies are worth reading before you order.
  • Be wary of "coupon code" sites. If a code does not appear on the official site at checkout, assume it does not work. Any genuine promotion will show on the official store.

The bottom line

The Handy 2 is the version to get if you are buying new: the longer stroke and cordless design fix the two most common complaints about the original. Start with the Standard unless you already know long sessions are how you will use it. Current prices and bundles are on the Handy store.
